LEED® Accreditation, signified by the LEED® AP® (LEED® Accredited Professional) designation, acknowledges expertise in the LEED® rating system. This credential ensures professionals possess the comprehensive knowledge required to shepherd projects through LEED® certification and exhibit proficiency across all facets of sustainable construction.
The LEED® AP® exams evaluate knowledge encompassing green building, specific LEED® rating systems, and the certification procedures. Ideal for individuals actively engaged in green building and LEED® projects, these exams serve as a benchmark for industry expertise and commitment to sustainable practices.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- To provide the fundamentals of green building and LEED®.
- Topics covered are Energy & Atmosphere, Water Efficiency, Indoor Environmental Quality, Location and Transportation, Integrative Strategies & Project Surroundings & Public Outreach.
- To equip the Participants with the necessary exam preparation.
- To understand the contributions of the LEED®Accredited Professional .
EXAM INFORMATION:
- Exam Format: CBT (Computer Based Test) for all LEED professional exams.
- Question Format: Each exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions.
- Time Allocation: LEED AP Exam: 2-hour duration; Combined Exam: 4 hours and 20 minutes.
- Scoring Range: Scores range from 125 to 200 for all LEED professional exams.
- Passing Score: A minimum score of 170 is required to pass the exams.
- Credential Earning: For LEED AP combined exams, a score of 170 or higher on both parts is necessary to obtain the credential.
RE CERTIFICATION:
- Valid for 2 Years
- LEED AP® – 30 Continuing Education Hours (CEs), with 6 LEED Specific CEs required
- Eligible through Authorship, Education, Project Participation, and Volunteering
- LEED®-specific activities include contributing to LEED® projects, volunteering in rating system development, creating LEED® case studies, and developing or teaching GBCI-approved coursework on the LEED® rating system.

Requirements
- Prior LEED project experience is strongly recommended
- Practitioner experience is critical to earning the credential
- Practitioner competency and project proficiency is tested objectively within the exam
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Hold a current LEED Green Associate™ credential*
- Agree to GBCI’s Disciplinary and Exam Appeals Policy and credential maintenance requirements
