ABOUT:
The Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM®) Certification is designed for experienced agile practitioners seeking to elevate their leadership capabilities. This certification focuses on advanced application of the Disciplined Agile (DA™) toolkit to optimize team performance, address complex challenges, and enhance value delivery across various organizational contexts, including non-software environments.
CERTIFICATION BODY:
The certification is administered by the Project Management Institute (PMI®), a global leader in project management and agile practices.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the DA toolkit, including its practices and strategies.
- Learn to guide teams in selecting and evolving their best way of working (WoW) using the DA toolkit.
- Develop skills to solve complex challenges in both software and operational business teams.
- Lead agile teams through critical enterprise activities such as planning, coordination, and reporting.
- Enhance value delivery by empowering team members, nurturing emotional intelligence, and resolving conflicts effectively.
EXAM INFORMATION:
- Format: Online, non-proctored test
- Questions: 50 multiple-choice questions
- Duration: 120 minutes (30 minutes for introduction, tutorial, and survey; 90 minutes for the exam)
- Results: Immediate PASS/FAIL notification on Pearson VUE Dashboard
- Attempts: Up to three attempts within a 12-month period
- Fee: Payment through MyPMI certification dashboard on PMI.org
RE-CERTIFICATION:
- Validity: 1 year
- Requirements:
- Earn and report 14 PDUs related to agile content
- Pay the annual renewal fee

Requirements
- Experience: Two years working in an agile team, ideally in a leadership role (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner).
- Completion of the Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) course (recommended but not required)
- Completion of The Basics of Disciplined Agile online course
- Reading section 1 of "Choose Your WoW" (complementary digital copy included with DASSM)
