The Certified Safety Director (CSD)® program signifies a high level of expertise within the safety profession. It equips safety specialists with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and manage comprehensive safety programs across entire facilities or corporations. CSDs play a crucial role in shaping organizational and social safety contexts, holding significant influence with senior management.

EXAM INFORMATION:
- Format: 150 multiple-choice questions
- Delivery: Closed-book, proctored exam (online or in-person)
- Time Limit: 3 hours
RECERTIFICATION:
- To maintain the CSD® credential, holders must earn 1.6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually for a total of 4.8 CEUs over the three-year cycle.

Requirements
- Track 1: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) or Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) with two years of experience.
- Track 2: Bachelor's degree in any field with three years of experience.
- Track 3: Associate's degree with four years of experience.
- Track 4: High school diploma with five years of experience.
