Exam Information

The CRCM^® exam is administered by ABA and can be taken either in-person at a test center or remotely proctored online.
200 multiple-choice questions
Maximum 4-hour time frame allowed
It is a written exam, assessing knowledge across various compliance domains.

Recertification

Earn 60 Continuing Education (CE) credits within the 3-year recertification cycle.
Pay the recertification fee as required by the American Bankers Association (ABA^®).
Continue to adhere to the ABA Professional Certifications’ Code of Ethics to remain in good standing.

Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following combinations of experience and/or training:
Option 1:
At least 3 years of U.S. experience in compliance.
Completion of two ABA®-approved compliance training programs within the last 5 years.
Option 2:
Six years of U.S. experience in compliance.
At least 3 of the 6 years must have occurred within the past 5 years.
