- Testing Method: Conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) at Pearson VUE Testing Centers and Professional Services International (PSI) Examination Centers.
RE CERTIFICATION:
- Renewal Requirements: CPHIMS® credential renewal is required every three years.
- Options: Renewal can be achieved by either earning 45 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or opting for reexamination.
- CEU Requirement: Professionals can fulfill the renewal requirement by accumulating 45 CEUs through approved educational activities.
- Reexamination: Alternatively, candidates may choose to undergo reexamination to maintain their CPHIMS® credential.

- Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, along with:
- Five years of information and management systems experience, with three years in a healthcare setting; OR
- Hold a graduate degree or higher from an accredited college or university, along with:
- Three years of information and management systems experience, with two years in a healthcare setting; OR
- Have at least 10 years of information and management systems experience, with eight years in a healthcare setting.
