About:
The Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)® training program is designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in inpatient medical coding. This course prepares candidates for the AAPC CIC™ certification, demonstrating their expertise in reviewing and coding inpatient medical records. The program offers a flexible, self-paced online format, allowing participants to prepare for the certification exam on their own schedule.

Exam Information:
- Exam Duration: The CIC™ exam is 5 hours long.
- Number of Questions: The exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions.
Recertification:
- CIC® certification must be renewed every two years.
- To maintain certification, complete 36 continuing education units (CEUs) and pay the renewal fee.
- This process ensures coders remain up-to-date with industry changes and best practices.
