CSQP® Overview
The ASQ Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) certification validates a professional’s expertise in supplier quality management. It demonstrates the ability to develop supplier quality systems, conduct audits and assessments, analyze and improve supplier performance, and support supply chain quality initiatives. This certification is ideal for professionals responsible for ensuring that suppliers meet organizational quality standards.

Upon completing CSQP preparation, candidates should be able to:

Exam Eligibility
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Eight years of on-the-job experience in one or more areas of the CSQP Body of Knowledge (BoK).
- Seven years of work experience plus a bachelor’s degree.
- Five years of work experience plus a master’s degree.
- ASQ recommends reviewing the CSQP BoK to ensure your professional experience aligns with exam requirements.

The CSQP exam focuses on key areas:
- Supplier Quality Management: Supplier selection, development, performance monitoring, audits.
- Supplier Performance & Process Improvement: Supplier metrics, Six Sigma, Lean tools, process improvement.
- Supplier Risk Management: Risk assessment, corrective action, prevention strategies.
- Supplier Auditing & Assessment: Planning audits, audit techniques, reporting, compliance.
- Product and Process Quality: Quality standards, control plans, process verification, nonconformance management.

- Delivery: Computer-based at authorized testing centers worldwide

Recertification
- Recertification Cycle: Every 3 years
- Requirements: Earn 18 recertification units (RUs) per year, totaling 54 RUs over 3 years, through continuing education, professional contributions, or exams/training.
- Submit the recertification application and fee to ASQ to maintain certification validity.
